The final map was composed using ArcGIS version 10.1 and the methodology was constructed considering the model. The first map constructed determined the locations in BC which have high mineral potential AND are proximal to roads by doing a Multi-Criteria Evaluation. It was assumed that proximity to roads and mineral potential are equally important as they are the main factors being analyzed. A second map was constructed containing all of the areas unsuitable for mineral exploration and was ultimately combined with the first map to create a residual map.
